Jimmy Fallon to Replace Jay Leno?

Is Jay Leno going to be replaced by Jimmy Fallon as host of The Tonight Show?  Yep. Well, according to the New York Daily News anyway.
The newspaper is reporting that muckity mucks at NBC have been calling on talent agency representatives to shake the trees of their client rosters to submit a replacement person to fill Leno's shoes. (Sounds like a recent Louie plot line where he was on a short list to replace David Letterman at Late Night.)
Um, didn't NBC just do this with Leno and Conan O'Brien to disastrous results?
Leno's contract expires in 2014 and Jimmy Fallon has had time to hone his hosting skills since taking over for O'brien at  the helm of his own eponymous late night show in March of 2009 and he's done a great job hosting the Emmy and MTV Movie Awards as well as sundry other shows throughout the years. So will he end up behind Johnny Carson's coveted desk?  We'll just have to wait and see at this point.
