Two of One Direction's members were pulled over by cops in New York City, causing a traffic jam on the busy street. Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan were being chauffeured through Manhattan on Wednesday, December 5 but Tomlinson did not stay inside the car all the time.
Captured on video, Tomlinson stood up through the sunroof of a moving
SUV while filming himself and lip syncing to an inaudible song. The boys
presumably were filming for the upcoming 3-D movie which Horan helped
to direct. The next thing they knew, two police officers stopped the car
and questioned them.
"Louis and the lads are having a great time in the Big Apple and want to
capture every minute," a source told The Sun. "Louis was only standing
through the sunroof momentarily but it was long enough to catch the eye
of the cops. He may have found it funny but motorists stuck in a traffic
jam certainly didn't."
They were not charged. The cops let them go with a warning but curiously, one of them took a picture of Horan and Tomlinson.
Another One Direction member got into trouble in New York while visiting the Empire State Building. Liam Payne
slammed the manners of security staff in the building on Twitter but
ESB's media team fired back. "@Real_Liam_Payne bad behaviour not
accepted at ESB. No, our security does not know who you are, and does
not care," they tweeted.
Payne deleted his previous comment and then clarified, "Seems there was a
bit of a mix up when I was at the empire state. Its all good. Sorry for
confusion looking fwd to next timeeeee! I would like to formally
apologise to the Empire State Building security team and its owners for
our misunderstanding the other night. I didn't mean to cause anyone any
problems and hope that I can come back again for a visit again in the
future :)."
