When dropping by "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", Jayma Mays tells a disturbing insect problem she recently had. The "Glee" actress grosses out fellow celebrity guest Ashton Kutcher, making him squirm in his chair with her story.
"So like a week ago, I started getting this really bad ear infection - I thought ear infection," she recalls. "A couple days into this infection - I thought
- I woke up in the middle of the night like screaming in pain. Like
horrible, horrible pain. And blood started coming out of my ear."
She says she then took an aspirin and put a heating pad on it before
going to the doctor the next morning. "The nurse puts my head to the
side and does the little drops in my ear. And she goes, 'Oh, oh, oh,'
and starts backing away ... And I'm thinking, 'Oh my God, are my brains
coming out?' "
Apparently, "when she put the drops in my ear, it started to drown the
insect that was living in there. So it climbed out of my ear," she
continues. "The blood was from it biting and scratching." Next to her,
Kutcher is seen squeamishly exclaiming, "Nooooo."
So, how could the bug end up living in her ear? "It's because my ears were too clean," she explains. "Apparently, you're not supposed to clean your ears, because the wax prevents bugs from living inside. I'm too clean."
