Sean Lowe and fiancee Catherine Giudici are planning their wedding following Sean's proposal on "The Bachelor" season finale
in Thailand. Sean and Catherine, however, said that they would wait
until their wedding day to consummate their relationship. As a
conservative Christian, Sean explained, "From my perspective, I've lived
life kind of selfishly for a long time. Now, I'm going to try to live
it the way I know to be right. It's a personal choice for me." In regards to her husband-to-be's wish, Catherine said, "I honor him."
Sean claimed that the "virgin bachelor" label attached to him did not
bother him at all. "I don't pay attention to the labels. This attention
is just for a short season of my life, so I'm not going to get too
stressed out about it," he said. However, Sean admitted that he would
love to have their wedding soon, for obvious reason. "I'm a guy. I'd go
to the courthouse tomorrow if she'd let me." he told PEOPLE.
The couple revealed that they were relieved that their engagement had
been announced. "I'm just so excited that the secret is out," Sean said.
"Now, we can be a normal couple and hold hands in public!" Catherine
said excitedly. She added, "It's daunting, the whole prospect of it. We
can finally be engaged in public. That's the first step. Then the
wedding plans."
"We talked about an outdoor wedding in the L.A. area. I think that will
be fun. We want it to be a big party," Sean said. The wedding will also
be broadcast on TV. "Our relationship was started and created on TV, so
we could solidify it there as well," he reasoned.
Sean, however, told Us Weekly that he would not invite Emily Maynard, the one who sent him home in the last season of "The Bachelorette",
to his wedding, saying, "You know, I think the world of Emily, and I
want nothing but good things for her. But I don't know if it would be
the most appropriate thing to have her at the wedding."
